A New Year… Embrace the New

Here we are sitting at the beginning of a new year!  Many are making resolutions to change their habits or lifestyle choices. I have chosen to make a declaration that In 2014… I am Blessed, I am Loved, I am a child of God!

Let us embrace the New that God wants to do in our lives!

Change: Does it Make Sense?

Today, on this first Monday in Advent, I find myself seeking answers to questions like “Why is this happening?” or When…  We all experience some form of change in our lives whether it be loss of a loved one, the beginning or end of a new chapter in our journey of life. Continuing to daily reflect on the theme of Advent week one, How can we find hope in our situation or in everyday life when experiencing change?  The answer is simple… look to the Christ child, born in a manger!

Advent is a time to Wait…

Morning & Evening Prayers:

I was sitting this morning, having my morning coffee and was praying as I prepared for our worship this morning. These words were written by me

As I sit in these morning hours
I clear my mind and search my heart
Seeking Your Wisdom, .
your Guidance and Your Presence
Move in me and through me, Holy One
As I sing the Praise of your great Name.

Bless O God, this work of your hands, the meditation of my heart, the words of my lips.

As I was laying in bed last night, these words came to me and I share them with You.  Blessings+

In the stillness of the midnight hour,
I seek your restful waters
I search my heart and thirst for you, O God.

Come, hold me and breathe within me your Presence.
Renew and Refresh me.
